The Ergonomen team celebrated their 15th anniversary with a Lab Party and 40 invited guests. During the Apéro Riche, they reminisced, looked to the future, and toasted to 15 years of usability.
It’s 5:00 PM. Our guests are arriving one by one. With the first glass of wine, we toast to the birthday and share the latest events and experiences – it’s wonderful to see familiar faces in person again or make new acquaintances. After this convivial introduction, the formal part of the event begins with an illustrative look back at the past 15 years.
Christopher Müller, owner and CEO, uses numerous photos and fun facts to narrate the development of the ergonomists over the years. He still remembers the name of every employee who has accompanied the ergonomists on their journey and shares anecdotes about past projects with the audience. It becomes clear how much passion and dedication go into each project. The surprise at the end: Ergozilla, our mascot, makes an appearance and generates great excitement among the guests!
In the ergonomists' quiz, guests could test their knowledge about the ergonomists, their project work, and UX. Joel, with his humorous and energetic style, led the Kahoot quiz. For example, would you have known what the “Foot-in-the-door” principle is? Or how many meters we’d get if we stacked the ergonomists' consultants on top of each other? The answers can be found at the end of the article.
With a glass of wine or a bottle of beer in hand, it’s time for the Apéro – the noise level rises. Those who aren’t too distracted by good conversations can grab a bite or two from the bountiful buffet. Anyone who wants to leave a birthday message for the ergonomists grabs the Polaroid camera and takes a selfie. The results are impressive. Thank you all for the birthday wishes!
All too soon, this lovely event with great company, engaging conversations, and a wonderful atmosphere comes to an end. What remains are many impressions and the anticipation of the next Apéro at Wallisellenstrasse 301.
The answers to our quiz? The “Foot-in-the-door” principle describes a method where you start with a small request to later achieve a larger request. And our Ergonomen consultants? Stacked, they would reach an impressive 13.7 meters!
